Guys,

Any info. on the impact of running leaded components through a Leadfree Wave.

We only have one wave machine but I have to have rohs compliance on a large build by end of january for one customer. So after this build I will be running non-rohs compliant product through the wave.

Yeah, the impact will be to contaminate the Pb Free solder in the pot with Pb (lead).

Pete is correct. Lead from the "Leaded" parts will leach into the solder pot and eventually the Pot will become contaminated with unacceptable levels of lead. At that point the entire pot will have to be emptied and cleaned. NOT a fun thing to do!!
