We have owned a 3Z for about 4 years now and an AV for a couple. What is your question...

Have had a lot of issues with our machine and was just curious if anyone else out there was having any problems with theirs. This is actully our second 3Z. Our first one had so many problems Contact took it back and replaced it with a newer one. About a year later, we are seeing the same problems. We have a lot of problems with the machine not holding its calibration. We have had to changed out several servo motors on the head assembly, the hard drive has crashed several times on us. We have a lot of issues with the tool bank "sticking". These are just a few of many. I know its not a work horse machine, but our volume is only around 500 pieces a week. Thanks for responding!!!

We have a 3Z and a 3AV. We dont use the 3AV at all anymore and just took the 3Z out of service but we ran each for 4 years for at least 8 hours a day. We never had problems to the extent you seem to have. I did talk to someone a few years ago that said they had a lot of problems with a 3Z. We have had some problems with the tool bank but its usually because a component ends up underneath it. We have never replaced a motor. Overall, I would say the machine runs pretty darn good, as long as you can keep the feeders working.

Yea we had A LOT of issues during the first couple of years with ours. I think we've replaced all the motors. It basically does sketchy things all the time. Never know what to expect with it. Since the first 2 or so years it has been somewhat stable however. Do you have a matrix tray module...that is another fun thing... We bought a 3AV used a couple of years ago and for the most part it is very stable. The vision board went once on it which cost $5000 to replace (just for the part).
