we have a new ersa ews500 wave machine and are experiencing difficulty in profiling for lead free. particular issue is reaching 110c preheat for large TH electrolitic caps while maintaining 110-170c on 1/4 watt resistors in same area

So are you saying that you cannot reach 110C at 1 location without raising another location to excessive preheat temp?

If so, sometimes slowing down the conveyor and dropping the preheat temps will help you get equal temps.

I do not know this machine but if you could explain the preheat configuration including total length we can maybe help further. It may be that the preheat section is just inadequate.

we have 4 bottom IR heaters and a 2 zone bottom Quartz heater (2 lamps/4 lamps) and 1 convection heater above zone 1 IR. we have very tight restrictions from customer and I could send profile view to your email if possible
