SP1550 Long Board Screen Printer Description:

New printer aligns screen printing with long boards from sectors such as LED Lighting.

With long PCBs increasingly common, we have introduced a new screen print platform that extends Speedprint’s board size capability. The SP1550 printer handles long boards up to 61 inches (1550mm) in length. Maximum stencil size is 72.8″ x 30″ (1850mm x 736mm).

Accuracy -This robust platform delivers print accuracy to 12.5µm at 6-sigma across the entire print length, with repeatability performance that parallels our acclaimed SP700 Series printers.

It should be no surprise that alignment becomes more critical with longer boards. We’ve addressed this in SP1550 by using up to four fiducials to optimise that alignment.

Solder Paste Inspection - The SP1550 machine includes SPI inspection technology built right in. When SPI reveals the start of a degradation inpaste-on-pad coverage, the machine can automatically implement an under-screen cleaning cycle. And here’s where you’ll find more innovation. SP1550 deploys an inventive under-stencil cleaning system that cycles in the X-axis. That dramatically minimises the usage of cleaning consumables. The multifunction cleaning system provides wet, dry, vacuum and air curtain modes.

Applications - Adding this machine to our screen printer range lets Speedprint users address the increasing number of assembly applications that use long PCBs with confidence. Such boards are common in sectors like LED lighting.
