Offset Calibration Board Description:
Siborg has created a dummy PCB that aides in accurate removal of parasitic offsets on Smart Tweezers, Colibri and LCR-Reader-MP devices.
The dummy PCB uses holes that represent various component sizes. Instead of the previous method of holding the devices' tips to a rough estimate of the components width, the Offset Calibration Board supplies the proper width.
It is as easy to use as switching the device to a 10 kHz test frequency and placing the tips in the corresponding holes. The device will display a value that can be subtracted from the value of the measured component giving the user the actual value of the component.
The Offset Calibration Board can also be used to set the automatic offset of Smart Tweezers devices.
