M2U-basic

For diagnostic and Pass/Fail Testing - Find, display, log, & document: continuity (opens, shorts, miswires, intermittent connections), and diode orientation.

M3Z

For all of the above plus resistance (contact, isolation, embedded), and diodes (orientation, forward voltage, reverse breakdown). 

M4

For all of the above plus precision resistance (4-wire), and capacitance (twist wire relationship, length of cable, length to break, capacitors). 


All CableEye testers are automation-ready and suitable for production, fault diagnosis, QC (Quality Control), assembly, and prototyping of standard or custom cables. Each combines test, fault location, design, documentation, labeling, and database storage in one instrument. Comprehensive operating software is included and provides test functions, connectors database, graphic wiring display, reporting, data logging, automation scripting and many more features.

Tests can be performed on long cables (with or without connectors) or no cables (e.g. connectors, backplanes, PCBs, components).

Stock Test Fixtures, Choose from a wide range of auto-detected, plug-in connector boards for fast, convenient set-up and testing of standard cables. There is an extensive and growing stock library of these test fixture boards – most of which are populated with families of connectors, such as the audio market CB19. When pre-populated boards are used, the tester GUI automatically displays a graphic of the connectors and wiring under test. The tester can be readily programmed to do the same for custom boards and fixtures. These boards are designed to fit all CableEye testers. 

 

Software

All testers ship with a comprehensive software package that provides test functions, connectors database, graphic wiring display, reporting, data logging, automation scripting, and many more features. The following optional softwre is also available:

  • PinMap ™ fixture editor - Links custom test fixtures, custom CB boards, specially-built panels, or pigtail adapters to the software.
  • Connector Designer ™ connector editor - An extensive connectors library is provided. Order this option if you need to create your own library of unusual or custom connectors.
  • Standalone​ software - Order this option if you need to use the softwre without a tester connected. You may write macros, create connectors, analyze test data, or perform any function that does not require data acquisition from the tester.
  • Applications Programming Interface (API) Software - For controlling the CableEye tester with LabVIEW, VIsual Basic, Visual C#, or other Microsoft .NET scripting languages.
  • AutoBuild ™​ guided assembly software- For assisted guidance (audio and/or visual) to build your connectors (pinning), and to assemble wire harnesses.
