Nov 13, 2017 | Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced Siglent’s SDG6000X series of Dual-Channel Pulse/Arbitrary Waveform Generators that create test signals up to 500MHz using a sample rate of 2.4GSa/s and 16-bit vertical resolution for an 80dB dynamic range. This series features Siglent’s proprietary TrueArb and EasyPulse technologies that solve the weaknesses inherent in traditional DDS waveform creation. TrueArb technology generates arbitrary waveforms “point-by-point” to produce a very low jitter (< 150ps) output signal from stored memory. Rapid rise and falling edges are enabled with the EasyPulse design, unaffected by frequency setting, extreme duty cycle, or extreme edge and width settings. The SDG6000X generators achieve extremely high accuracy performance in both time domain and amplitude, resulting in more accurately reconstructed waveforms with lower distortion, low noise floor, and excellent signal-to-noise ratio.

These industry segments showed the highest levels of confidence in the direction of current-state indicators. They, along with OEMs, reported the most positive expectations for growth in the next six months and 12 months.

IPC Hand Soldering Competition Winner Crowned at ELECTROSUB 2017 in Budapest
Oct 26, 2017 | IPC, in conjunction with ELECTROSUB 2017, conducted the IPC Hand Soldering Competition at ELECTROSUB 2017 in Budapest, Hungary. The competition in Budapest drew the highest number of professional hand soldering competitors to date in Europe of 51. Unique to ELECTROSUB 2017 was an IPC HSC competition for high school students. The 16 high school competitors were not going to be out done by their older professional competitors as they put their best soldering techniques on display vying for cash prizes for first, second and third place. Taking first place in the high school competition with a cash prize of €30 was Mate Toth, Technical High School, Komarno, Slovakia. In second place with a cash prize of €20 went to Bence Marki, Palfy Water Management Technical High School, Szolnok, Hungary. Taking third place with a cash prize of €10 was Gilles Cumin, from Lajos Bardos Elementary School, Lagymanyos, Budapest, Hungary.
