Taiwan Union Technology Corporation is First to Pass Recertification Under IPC-4101 Qualified Products Listing

Mar 08, 2020 | IPC's Validation Services Program has awarded and renewed an IPC-4101 Qualified Products Listing (QPL) to Taiwan Union Technology Corporation (TUC). TUC is an electronics materials manufacturing company headquartered in Jhubei, Hsinchu County, Taiwan. TUC was the first manufacturer worldwide to gain QPL listing for copper-clad laminates and prepregs in February 2017. TUC successfully renewed and completed an intensive second audit based on IPC's foremost standard on base materials for laminates and prepregs: IPC 4101, Specification for Base Materials for Rigid and Multilayer Printed Boards.

Electronics Manufacturers Report Slowing Growth and a Cautiously Optimistic Outlook

Dec 09, 2019 | Growth is slowing worldwide and the industry’s outlook is less optimistic than in previous quarters, although it is still generally positive, according to the results of IPC’s fourth-quarter 2019 Pulse of the Electronics Industry survey. Based on responses from 82 companies that make up a representative sample of the industry, global third-quarter 2019 sales growth, averaging 3.0 percent, was at its lowest level since the quarterly survey began in mid-2017. The sales growth the respondents predicted for the current quarter is down further, averaging 2.6 percent.
