Jun 16, 2011 The SMTA South East Asia Technical Conference on Electronics Assembly Technologies that took place May 19-20, 2011, in Penang, Malaysia, was a resounding success. SMTA reported that attendance increased 45% from 2009 and was very well received by attendees.
The Best of Conference Award was presented to Umut Tosun, ZESTRON, for his presentation on "Fluid Flow Mechanics: Key to Low Standoff Cleaning." Technical sessions offered high quality technical information on topics including Assembly Process, Materials, and Reliability, Cleaning for Today’s Challenging Designs, Harsh Environment Applications, Advanced Packaging Assembly Developments, Process Control, and Latest Developments in Surface Finish.
The conference would not have been possible without the skillful guidance of the technical committee.
