SMTA China Committee Meetings
On Monday, August 31 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Room 606B, 6/F at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, SMTA China will host several committee meetings. The first one will be the SMTA China Executive Committee Meeting from 9-10 a.m. and will be presented by Abby Tsoi, SMTA China President and Managing Director of Kasion Automation Ltd. from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Mr. Tsoi will speak at the Board of Directors Meeting. Lunch will take place from 12-1 p.m. Following lunch, from 1-3 p.m. Mr. Maverick Luk, SMTA HK Chapter’s President and Public Relations Manager of Electronic Technology Publishing Group will present the SMTA HK Chapter Executive Committee Meeting. Finally, the day will end with the Exhibition Advisory Council Meeting from 3-4 p.m. Mr. Tsoi will lead the meeting.
SMTA China South Technology Conference
The technology conference will take place from 10:15 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31 in two tracts: Emerging Technologies and Operation Excellence. All papers will be presented in Chinese.
The Emerging Technologies tract will be held in room 314, 3/F., at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The conference chairman will be Michael Y.F Wong, Vice President (Technology) of the SMTA HK Chapter and Director-Manufacturing Engineering-China Operation of Embedded Computing and Power of Emerson Network Power.
The Operation Excellence tract will be held in room 316, 3/F., at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The conference chairman will be Maverick Luk, SMTA HK Chapter’s President and Public Relations Manager of Electronic Technology Publishing Group.
Additionally, from Tuesday, August 31-Thursday, September 2, free vendor conferences will be held in booth 3A15, Hall 3 of the convention center from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Certified Engineer Course
The Certified Engineer Course consists of theory and an examination, and will take place daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. from August 31-September 2, 2010. The course is presented in conjunction with NEPCON South China 2010 and organized by SMTA China and supported by Reed Exhibitions. It will be instructed in Chinese (Cantonese) by Emerson Network Power’s Michael Wong. Each daily session will take in room 608A, 6/F at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
SMTA China’s Fifth Anniversary Gala Breakfast Reception
The fifth anniversary gala breakfast reception will celebrate SMTA China’s fifth year serving the Chinese SMT industry and will take place September 1, 2010 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. in Function Room One (Guangdong), 3/F., Futian Shangri-La Hotel.
Golf Tournament
SMTA China’s Hong Kong Chapter will host the Golf Tournament, which will take place Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Yin Li Foreign Investors Golf Club (Qingxi, Dongguan, China). Registration begins at 8 a.m. with an 8:30 a.m. tee-off ceremony and shotgun start. Eighteen holes will be played, followed by a late lunch and awards presentation at 2:15 p.m. The event will be finished by 3:30 p.m.
