Dec 03, 2002 Valor Computerized Systems Ltd. [Neuer Markt: VCR] announces the sale of its Enterprise 3000 DFM (Design for Manufacturability) solution to US based Visteon Corporation. This investment affirms the trend of multi-national corporations to implement a single standard design verification platform, to meet the needs of an entire organization and to boost performance and quality throughout globally dispersed design, pre-manufacturing and engineering departments.
Within the framework of this DFM project, Visteon will use Valor's system in the manufacturing verification processes. Enterprise 3000 provides open system architecture and inter-operability with a large variety of PCB design and manufacturing systems. In addition, Enterprise 3000 generates ODB++ validated data, the intelligent and superior data exchange format, which allows for an implementation of a straightforward design-to-fabrication-to-assembly workflow integration.
In addition, the seamless integration of the Valor Parts Library (VPL), the only online database to cover over 30 Million accurate physical models of electronic components, with Valor�s Enterprise 3000 platform increases the operative range of the DFM analysis specifically in the area of component assembly.
Valor�s combined DFM / VPL solution should significantly reduce and streamline operational costs due to the reduction of costly revision spins, substantial reductions in manufacturability defects, and improvements in cycle times, all leading to a faster design-to-manufacturing process and accelerated NPI (New Product Introduction).
