Isola Laminate Systems and Taconic Advanced Dielectric Division today announced a joint manufacturing and sales agreement. Under the deal, the companies will develop and produce substrate materials for high-speed applications.
Taconic will manufacture fluoropolymers, which Isola will in turn use in its IS630 substrates. Fluoropolymer substrates are designed for high-frequency microwave applications of 5 Gbps and higher.
The companies will market the materials in all regions.
Isola also announced the development of two new materials: IS620, a low-loss E-glass thermoset resin system for high-speed (2 to 10 GHz) applications, and IS410, an FR-4 style CAF-resistant laminate designed for high-thermal reliability applications.
