The launch of Printed Circuit Design & Manufacture is a positive step toward bridging the gap between the design and manufacturing disciplines, said UPMG Group Publisher Laura Sims. Our readers and advertisers have repeatedly requested a media vehicle that would give them access to and information about both of these dynamic communities in one, unified medium. Now, we are pleased to be able to deliver such a product to our customers.
Pete Waddell, president of UPMG, said, In an electronics age where designs are more complex and manufacturing is increasingly sophisticated, communication between designers and manufacturers is imperative to the success of the final product. We are confident that Printed Circuit Design & Manufacture will provide a forum for delivering critical information to designers and manufacturers and will provide advertisers access to both of these communities through one product.
Printed Circuit Design & Manufacture will have a target circulation of 37,000 subscribers comprised of the entire unduplicated subscriber files from PC FAB and Printed Circuit Design magazines. UP Media Group said that it does not expect to lose any subscribers with the merger. Likewise, the editorial content of Printed Circuit Design & Manufacture will combine the best features and columns of the two magazines from which it was formed.
UPMG publishes Printed Circuit Design & Manufacture magazine and Circuits Assembly magazine and produces the PCB Design Conferences East and West and HDI Expo along with several PCB Design Roadshows throughout the United States.
