May 05, 2014 NEPCON China, the Asian electronics manufacturing industry’s most essential event, launched in Shanghai at the World EXPO Exhibition & Convention Center successfully. The show took place from April 23-25. The event is one of Asia’s largest, longest standing trade and sourcing platforms, featuring all of the world’s major electronics brands. At the three-day event, a range of new technologies, products and solutions was showcased, covering SMT, electronics manufacturing automation, ESD, purification, soldering, test and measurement, barcodes, electronics manufacturing services, and other SMT and electronic manufacturing-related applications. The exhibition spanned 25,000 sqm and hosted more than 500 leading companies from 22 countries and regions. Additionally, the “Big Players of the Future” feature profiled numerous industry leaders, including Fuji Machine, Hitachi, JUKI, Panasonic, Samsung, ASM (Siplace), Yamaha, Universal, Europlacer, MYDATA, ASYS, DEK, Speedline, Kurtz ersa, Nordson, BTU, Rehm Thermal, DEK, Henkel Loctite, Indium, KIC International, OK International, AIM, Tamura, Musashi, Heller, ZESTRON, Agilent, Parmi, Koh Young, Mirtec, Omron, Shimazu, TRI, Scienscope, Magic Ray and ViTrox. More than 21,000 trade visitors are expected to have been onsite.

The Electronics Manufacturing Automation (EMA) Pavilion showcased the most advanced industrial automation technologies and products in electronics manufacturing. It is China’s only dedicated trade and purchasing platform featuring automation solutions for electronics makers and vendors of electronics manufacturing equipment. Industrial giants like Kuka, Festo, IPTE and B&P took stage to demonstrate their leading products.

The NEPCON Electronics Innovation & Hi-Tech Manufacturing International Conference China integrated an intensive program of keynote addresses, panel discussions and networking lunches to thoroughly examine the latest advances in electronics manufacturing and give participants the opportunity to expand their networks with high-value contacts. Among the presentations to be delivered are Innovation: The Psychology of Wearable Analytics (Gary Jackson, Qlik Tech, Hong Kong), Using More Automation and Robotics in Product Manufacturing, Electronic Communication Product Evolution and PCBA Technology Development Trends (Liu Zhe, ZTE, China), Technology and Economics of Automated Product Test-Better Faster, Low Cost (John Arena, Teradyne, USA) and many more.
In a “wearable intelligent devices” session organized by Reed Exhibitions and WSCDK.com (a wearable tech website), professionals from the local and international wearable intelligent device industry discussed development opportunities and trend prospects for 2014. The latest wearable tech also was on display onsite.
Printable Electronics Industry Conference, SMTA China East Conference 2014,Engineers’ Salon and SMT Home Member Gathering also took place during the show.
Also this year, NEPCON China introduced EM Leader TV, a first-time promotional medium streaming video interviews with industry leaders. The narrowcast channel is a chance to hear directly from industry experts and gain new business insights. The organizer also launched a mobile app and wechat for the event, giving participants one-click access to all show information on-the-go.
