With the new SIPLACE SX concept placement performance can be added to a line without influencing feeder capacity or line length, placement capacity can be easily moved from one line to another, and feeder capacity can be added without the cost of adding an entire new machine. When visitors were asked what impressed them the most about the new SIPLACE SX, Mr. Niceforo Rodriguez, Operations Manager at Foxconn stated, “Flexibility, excellent programming tools and low cost maintenance of the new platform.”
The SIPLACE SX is the first machine on the market with complete gantry modularity, up to 60 cph placement speed, 120 8mm feeder slots all in only 1.5 meters of line space.
SIPLACE Machine Software Ensures Quality
Visitor excitement increased when they witnessed the powerful demonstration of SIPLACE SX machine software. The user friendly software on all new SIPLACE X and SX machines provides operators with a task oriented guide in a very simplified graphical format. The software proactively gives warnings on how to keep the machine running efficiently and also allows engineers to make multiple adjustments (component pickup positions, vision system and setup adjustments) all while the board remains in the machine during the building process. Auto recovery is permanently switched on and if power outages occur the board continues at the exact point where it left off when power returns. Additional quality checks can be made during and after placement with the inspection feature on the software.
The SIPLACE SX will be on the road in the Americas for the next several months.
