Apr 22, 2014 Rolling Meadows, IL (April 22, 2014) – Both 03015 microchip placement and NPI Technology exhibits were a hit with attendees at Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America’s booth at the recent IPC APEX trade show.
In the flexibility section of the Panasonic booth the NPM mounter placed 03015 chips in live demonstrations. Crowds were especially interested in seeing the process and finished placement array up close— with many requesting samples to take home. Further emphasizing its expertise with microchips, Panasonic presented a paper on process considerations for 03015M and smaller microchip mounting at the IPC APEX Expo technical conference.
Also very popular was the high mix section of the booth where Panasonic highlighted New Product Introduction (NPI) technologies. These included Setup Verification on the latest innovations, the SPG screen printer and AM100 SMT machine. Online and offline component teach, fiducial teach with adjustment, changeover mode for carts and feeders, auto feeder teach, and virtual PCB inspection were also featured, as solutions to help reduce setup time and run a more efficient line.
