"Joining Panasonic is an incredible opportunity," says Timms. "Not only does Panasonic offer quality solutions that help customers build quality boards; they're also a world-leading manufacturer of consumer, industrial, and business products. This unique and powerful advantage affords experience, expertise, and economies of scale that other vendors simply cannot provide. What's more, the new solutions we'll debut at APEX dismiss the myth that Panasonic is only for LMHV—Panasonic is for all manufacturers—regardless of mix or volume.
Timms will report directly to Tom Gebhardt, concurrent President, Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America and Panasonic Industrial Company. Gebhardt comments, "Jeff’s joining our team in a newly created position in conjunction with realizing our vision of new capabilities, expanding into new markets, and crossing industry boundaries."
Timms possesses a proven track record of success in the electronics assembly industry with Universal Instruments, Siemens, and Microscan Systems, as well as numerous industry councils and organizations. He holds a Bachelors degree in business from Norwich University in Montpelier, VT, an AAS degree in Electrical Technology from Corning Community College in Corning, NY, and has completed an Executive Education Program from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business in Durham, NC.
