Nov 01, 2016 As a world leader in electronics inspection technology, the Nordson Test and Inspection Group, consisting of Dage X-Ray systems, Yestech AOI equipment and Matrix in-line X-Ray, has appointed Cupio as its UK representative. With major new product introductions from both Yestech and Dage, Cupio’s appointment means that customers can now access the latest in both X-ray and optical inspection technology from a single source.
For optical inspection, Nordson Yestech has extended its 3D AOI systems to include the “Ultra” which uses a shadowless Moiré fringe process to give the highest possible accuracy in component measurements. At the same time, they are launching new systems for high magnification microelectronics inspection and PTH inspection.
Meanwhile, Nordson Dage has introduced its completely new flagship X-ray inspection range - the Quadra 7™. Featuring 0.1µm sub-micron feature recognition, the Quadra 7™ comes equipped with two 4K UHD displays and 8 million pixels to fully show the 50 µm pixel pitch and 6.7 MP image size of the Aspire FP™ detector. 4K UHD offers up to four times the detail of standard HD display screens and supports 68,000X total magnification. The system allows operators to see sub-micron level features without losing detail.
The Quadra™ Series is Nordson DAGE’s fourth generation, ultra-high resolution, off-line X-ray system offering the highest feature recognition at full power. Its capabilities have been recognised by Global SMT and Packaging Magazine’s 2016 Global Technology Award in the category of Inspection – X-ray, presented in September at SMTA International.
