Christopher Associates Inc. today announced that it held a solder paste seminar during the 1st Annual Guadalajara Technical Expo & Forum, which took place November 9-10, 2011 at the Holiday Inn in Zapopan, Jalisco.
The seminar was well-attended by process engineers, stencil designers and quality engineers from respected companies including Jabil, Retronix, Sanmina-SCI Continental, Mapartel and Flextronics. “This was the first seminar we organized in Mexico. The event was a success with 18 participants from six respected companies in the industry and we are planning more events in the area,” commented Applications Engineer Manuel Garcia.
Conducted by IPC Master Instructor Francisco Briceño, the seminar was free for participants and each received a certificate of completion in useful material about the inspection process.
Briceño has more than 22 years of experience in the electronic assembly industry. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s Degree in Engineering of Materials from IPN (Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico City). Francisco holds a degree in Soldering in Electronics from MIT (Massachusetts Institute Technological) and is certified as a Black Belt by ITESM (Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey). An IPC Member of Task group IPC-610 2010-Standard, and Certified in IPC-Jstd-001, IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/7721, Francisco is a Technical Consultant to electronic manufacturing companies in México.
