PRIDE Industries, Inc., a social enterprise providing first-rate manufacturing and service solutions to business and government, announces the installation of its new FlexSolderWave 620 from Juki Automation Systems.

The FSW620 already has greatly improved PRIDE’s ability to address a variety of challenges related to through-hole soldering. Being able to address multiple alloys and flux chemistries as well as both selective and traditional flow wave processes with a single machine enables the company to be more efficient and cost effective, and to improve overall process quality. With the FSW620’s wide range of features, PRIDE now can manage tougher customer requirements with ease.

The FSW620 is a traditional mini-wave soldering system capable of supporting board sizes up to 18" x 18" depending on nozzle configuration. The FSW620 is the only machine in its class to offer up to four autonomous acting soldering nozzles, allowing the use of four different sizes and/or types of nozzles without changeover.

Steve Twitchell, VP Sales Operations at PRIDE, commented about the recent addition of the FSW620, “This Juki equipment allows us to quickly support our RoHs and tin-lead customers. Our rapid changeover and selective solder capabilities allow PRIDE to meet our customers’ cost reduction initiatives.”

Juki’s FSW620 has been designed to support a wide variety of nozzles. It can support wetted nozzles down to 1.8 mm, traditional mini-wave nozzles up to 25 mm and even a special miniature wide wave that is 43 mm wide. The FSW620 also offers both 0° soldering and 7° soldering to accommodate these various types of nozzles. For more information about the FSW620, visit www.jukiamericas.com.
