Altus Helps to Get Teams Back to Work with Innovative Safety Solutions

Mar 23, 2021

With lockdown restrictions slowly lifting and employees starting to return to the workplace, safeguarding workers is of paramount importance. Altus Group is helping companies to plan for a successful reopening with a range of solutions to keep people and spaces safe, including the introduction of UV Cleanlight.

Professional body, The Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) said that for a return to the workplace, employers must consider detailed risk management approaches to safeguard employees' health and minimise the risk of infection, basing plans on up-to-date government and public health guidance1. That includes hygiene measures to minimise the spread of infection. To assist in this challenge, Altus has a number of safety solutions which include everything from thermal measurement and temperature monitoring equipment, to disinfection equipment.

The newest supplier to feature within the portfolio is UV Cleanlight. The company has a range of air disinfection and surface disinfections products. In Sterilon Flow air is passed through the bottom of the unit and up through the interior of the lamp, where it is exposed to UV-C light and disinfected, before pushed out as clean air at the top. Importantly, shielded UV-C light does not escape from the unit, so it can be used safely and effectively used to disinfect the air in the presence of people, allowing work to continue as usual.

Also from UV Cleanlight is the UV-C lamp. This innovative product effectively kills surface microorganisms within an area of up to 35m2 and takes just 15 minutes to fully disinfect an empty workspace.

Another product helping businesses to navigate to a new normal in the workplace, is the Hikvision range of thermal measurement and temperature monitoring equipment. One product which Altus has seen impressive interest in, and is already working to keep staff safe, is MinMoe touch-free access control and temperature screening solution.

MinMoe has been designed to achieve rapid preliminary screening with high efficiency and can be easily fitted to a wall at a building’s reception or on a temperature screening terminal. It also has the potential of full traceability and analysis and offers facial recognition, mask detection and a number of other access controls to keep facilities safe.

Altus’ range of safety products have been carefully selected to support manufacturers and ensure workplaces are as safe, reducing the risk of infection and providing long-term solutions to safety.
