At the heart of the DEK exhibit are the Horizon 01iX and the Horizon 03iX print platforms – arguably the world’s most cost-effective and in-field adaptable printers. These powerful print systems will be shown at APEX with newly redesigned cover packages which enhance usability and operator management by enabling quick access from both the front and rear of the system. Fast changeover and 6-Sigma performance are the cornerstones of all of the Horizon iX models, with scalability and easy in-field upgradeability as differentiable advantages of the platform. Customers can determine the Horizon model that best suits their manufacturing requirements today, with the option to add advanced features such as ultra-fast understencil cleaning, automatic board support or dispense capability if and when manufacturing needs change.
Enhancing Horizon’s performance even more is DEK’s latest technology, Sentinel, which is a complete print process safeguarding and control tool and will be demonstrated at APEX on-board the Horizon 01iX. With 100% post-print inspection at full line speed, Sentinel isolates bad boards in real time without adversely impacting the production pace. Add to this the ability to incorporate full input and output verification along with sophisticated Verification and Traceability tools, and Sentinel moves the print process ever closer to a true “hands off” operation.
Visitors to DEK booth #1573 at APEX will also get a first-hand look at the ProFlow® ATx enclosed head print system and the company’s latest stencil advance, VectorGuard Double Layer Platinum. Moving enclosed head printing into the next-generation, ProFlow ATx incorporates a low-volume print chamber with an innovative paste loading mechanism for filling of the transfer head, delivering consistent and robust process control and performance. Allowing for direct automatic material loading from industry standard packaging -- as opposed to special cartridges -- ProFlow ATx minimizes manual intervention, reduces cost and lowers material waste.
Harnessing the proven advantages of DEK’s VectorGuard® stencil tensioning technology, the company has developed VectorGuard Double Layer Platinum. The unique design of the stencil enables the ability to print fine lines (< 2 mils or 50 microns) and delivers a technology that is more effective than traditional screens for applications such as Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic (LTCC), microelectronic packaging and processes that dictates high tolerance, fine dimension printing. VectorGuard Double Layer Platinum will be an integral part of DEK’s stencil technology display at APEX.
Industry experts agree that these latest DEK technologies – Sentinel, ProFlow ATx and VectorGuard Double Layer Platinum – are worthy of recognition for their ability to deliver real and relevant value to the electronics assembly supply chain. All three of these products have been selected for IPC’s prestigious Innovative Technology Center and will be featured in a special display just outside the entry to the APEX exhibit floor.
DEK invites show delegates to visit booth #1573 to discuss their technology requirements and find out how the company’s latest innovations can deliver the extreme productivity required by modern electronics firms.
