NEED UNIVERSAL MANUAL | 24 March, 2013

Does any one have a copy of the GSM programming manual? I have 3 GSM1 machines and am looking to start writing programs for them. I want to replace our aging Fuji CP3 machine. I would appreciate if some one would like to share a copy of said manual. Thanks.

If you register your machines with Universal, you will be granted access to all on-line documents. Also, you would be able to order spares from their on-line shop. I paid 500$ for one machine registration and it was money well spent.

Also, please specify which software level your machines run on...

Hi Deni, I have access to the online database, but I don't see the option for machine manuals. I only see the trouble shooting guide. 2 of my machines are running a variant of UPS 3.1 on OS/2. The other machine is running an older 1.4 OS/2.

What OS dose the machine have.

Look on the maker plate there will be a 4 digit number and a letter. What is this model number.

Universal machines shuld come with software on them called voyager. This is all of the documentaiton and manuals you could ever want. If you have the voyager install disk you can also load it on another computer without much effort.

Programming depends on what options you have with your machine, You will use board editor to make the board, cad editor to define the parts, and assign it a board file (Board files/templates are independent of the product files, so side A side B can use the same board file)

Then afterwards you will want to edit the product to add, Z zones, Feeder setup, Fiduals...

Fiduals is a bit odd, after makeing them you will have to go in the order list and define a global correction (use all 3 fids & set scope for board and whole circut), also you will want any xout finds to come after fidual finds and global corrections.

If you have a OS2 machine i may not be of any help.

O also registering the machines so you can get support is very wise, Universal has a amassing support network, least of all is phone and email support.

Also sense you are new to the machine, a week trip to new york for training in programming and basic maintenance would be money well spent.

Do post the model number of your machine when you get the chance. If you lack voyager i can send you a couple things for your machine to hold you till you get registered.
