Fuji IP 2 part data issue | 7 May, 2018

I am trying to place an LQFP 208 with the fuji IP2 but I repeatedly get an error stating that there are too many leads. I have gone over the part data and started from scratch multiple times with the same outcome. I was hoping someone may have some pointers that could help me get this part data sorted out.

Hi Dex,

We're going back a few decades here, but...

1) can you treat it as 4 large leads - one rectangular block per side? 2) Is it failing on the coplanarity check set up or the basic vision? if Coplanarity, can you skip that check? 3) are you using the lumnious yellow sticky pads on the nozzles for better vision definition or the standard opaque square?

Rob, 1) I have not yet tried treating each side as a large lead. Thats an excellent idea and I will give that a try shortly here. 2) I have skipped the coplanarity check in attempt to get it to place so it is failing the basic version. 3) we are using the standard opaque pad on a disk with an LL Nozzle (maximum body size of 38x38 mm. The LQFP208 is a 30x30mm including leads)

Thank you for your help!

Rob,

Thank you so very much! This worked! I greatly appreciate your help. I have been racking my brain for days and to see that nozzle place the part was very exciting haha!

Hi Dex,

You're welcome, to be fair I have no idea how that info was still in my head from a few days spent helping a customer out in 1996.... Not seen an IP2 since then.

Best of luck,

Rob.
