SMD Gull Wing Switch Cracking

SMD Gull Wing Switch Cracking | 18 December, 2019

Hello! We are having field failures due to cracking of the solder on our SMD micro switch components. I have been reading the IPC standards, and the only thing that it states regarding the solder profile/amount for Gull Wing component is "wetted fillet evident". While the fillet on this solder is not concave, does this still appear as a 'wetted fillet'?

Any other evident causes of failure from the pictures that I am missing (?

Thank you in advance!

I cannot see it's a gull wing lead, but also there's no solder under the lead except the side surface.

I agree, that is not a gullwing lead in the normal sense but that doesn't address the failure.

The wetting looks fine unless there is a problem under the lead, which is hard to tell since there is an obvious fracture.

That appears to be the edge of the board to the left in the first two pictures. Are we sure that this isn't a mechanical root cause, such as depaneling or board flex during handling, installation, etc.?
