Hello guys ,

For our SPV machine (Printing machine) , am looking for flexible support pin or some other idea to support PCB during second printing process ( Double side process) . We actually using ( 1: stainless steel support with voids for mounted components , 2 : simple pins table with manuel cofiguration ) .. am Looking for a new tool more flexibles to our product diversity ..Any recommandation please ?? ideas , new tool or supplier..

Count on Tools makes hard foam support block with magnetic bases that work really well. check with them to see if they make them for the SPV.

Thank you @Makersan CO for your input . Am still doing research for a best tool choice.. I want to avoid pneumatic supports because i had bad experiences with it..am looking for magnetic base supports involved in a dynamic movement block .. or something like resin that takes the shape of the PCB + components... am lookning for an optimized means.. we keep in touch @Makersan

I seem to remember using a system similar to this one. http://production-solutions.com/redesetmanuallock.php The one I saw had the supports spring loaded and free when you first brought the support up to the board. Then you used an Allen key at the end to lock them into place.

I can't remember if it was the system where we told the manufacturer that we didn't like it, so they sent an updated version which we also did not like but we did like the third version.

And how did the beginning of the 21st Century go from far in the future to way back in the past?

I would recommend Grid-Lok from ASM, or VarioGrid from LTE. I have good experiences with them, and need small amount of maintenance in the long run. Both have magnetic bases and work with pressure air, but I've seen some models which don't require pressurized air, which I recon, could be cheaper.
