I have a KE2050RL which I just started (second hand) and the machine goes in operator mode by default. Any idea how to reset the password for Manager level ? can be reset from service level? is there a service default password? Thanks, Aurash

I guess I'm competing for the unluckiest person of the year...

I got some default passwords and when I started the machine in the morning the WinXP Embedded got dead.(the system directory is corrupted)

Can someone share an ISO for the WInXP Embedded rescue CD please?

Thanks for the info really appreciate.

The only problem is that the HDD died on me this morning. JUKI 40027341 (XP)(JE) Rev.02 (this is the part number) -

any idea what kind of money is a new/used one?

Can you make a clone of your corrupted HDD? Get a new HDD, I think any HDD with the correct connections is ok. Restore the clone to the new HDD. You can't lose anything if you try..

You can still restore the data from a failed HDD like this. There a HHD recovery companies that will take the platters out and place them in another drive to extract the data. ALso on Youtube you can find Louis Rossmann in NYC that does these repairs and much more.

Sarason - I can do that (did before) but you need an exact HDD model for the transplant which challenging to find (10 Years old) - but I appreciate your answer.

I got an old HDD (from another machine) and made a mirror on a brand new one and fitted on the KE2050. The machine starts but the MS restore parameters from flash is not helping because of my previous experiments. (I meant stupid experiments) - Anyway the machine is going in Origin and all the head movements are OK

So the plan now is to recalibrate the machine from scratch with calibration jigs.(which I don't have)
