Has anyone here got any innovated neat fast ways to quickly cut the end of an IC tube open clean and fast so that parts feed properly from a tube on a vibe (as best they can...) AND or any low volume easy to setup automated tube to tape and reel setup.

I don't know about your Vib feeders, but on mine the intended way to use them is to have a custom piece fitted at the pick end of the tube for the SOIC shape you are feeding. While it is difficult and or expensive to buy all the possible official ones you might need, it is 2022 and one should be able to 3D print your own and that way they can better match the slight variations that happen between different tubes. Cutting the the top off one end of the tubes is a quick and dirty fix and only works for ICs that are supplied in tubes about as wide as the device, if you have tubes that rely on guide rails moulded in the top of the tube as you often find with TSSOPs or Opto devices this trick does not work well. You could also try keeping a library pre-cut tubes in reserve ...

Yes you are correct on several points We do 3d print ends for tubes especially for tubes which have guide rails etc However the organization storage and finding when you need it is very difficult for any kind of tools for many people. Allen keys for example!

Some would call that LEAN methodology I believe.

We used to use a Dremel with a cutoff wheel. You can clean the cuts up with an X-acto.
