Panasonic MV feeder TPM | 22 April, 1999

To save me re-inventing the wheel can anybody tell me an average no of pick-ups that can be expected from a Panasonic MV feeder before Feeder TPM should be carried out.

Thankyou.

An 8x4 is going to index a lot more times than 32x16. If your feeder is in index, pick up height etc is all o.k. it should operate o.k. until something gives, how long till that happens ? How long is a bit of string. Depends also if the m/c is running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Rule of thumb, check them once a month, espcialy the plastic pawls and tape reels, for wear, you should be o.k. with this.

With Mv's Becareful not to mistake other problems that will certainly occur, making you think you have feeder problems! Also the push pins are bad to clog up and stick under heavy production. This will occur more often than the springs , or gears wearing out.
