| I need help in finding solder paste measuring equipment. | Hi cuch,

I have two site where you could to find information about solder paste measuring equipment. The website are: www.cyberoptics.com and www.malcom.org I already worked with solder paste measuring equipment call LSM - II from cyberoptics; this equipment is very easy to use and you have goods measuring but it is off-line ( i think unique problem), please check outher models in the website cyberoptics or malcom.

Re: Solder Paste Measuring | 5 April, 1999

| I need help in finding solder paste measuring equipment. | As already mention in other replies the Cyberoptics and others are commonly used but the price and the measurement range must be considered since you can purchase paste measurement equipment for as little as $500 (a micrometer) and up.

I am trying to develope a fine pitch process, and would like to develop a way to inspect the paste volume before my parts get placed.

An alternative is a microscope from:

Re: Solder Paste Measuring | 15 April, 1999

| I need help in finding solder paste measuring equipment. | No matter what measuremnt system you purchase, make sure that you perform a Gage R&R study to determine whcih system can meet your standards. Most manual measuremnt systems cannot adequately measure paste repeatabily. If you are looking for quality improvements, at minimal look for a semi-automated measuremnt device.

Look for a company with documented Gage R&R study imformation. If a company can't provide you with this type of information immediately, I would seriously question the systems capabilites. They should also be willing to guarentee these results in writing before you buy.

Good Luck in your search.
