Contact Systems

I'm still looking at equipment to start an SMT line. It's a jungle out there!!!!! Does anyone know of/have experience with Contact Systems Inc.. Specifically their 3SX or 3AVX machines. They are not one of the biggies but have a substantial number of machines in place.

Any info will be appreciated.

I have a Contact 3AV and I am running it three shifts. It basically does not stop from Monday morning to Friday night. We are doing a high mix of discretes,SOIC, SOT and QFP's up to 208's on Flexible Printed Circuitry. We are also doing ALOT of SMT connectors and odd form components. Have not yet run any BGA. I have found it to be reliable, user friendly and was the fastest machine that i had test driven in its price range. Chris Ossner and the technical staff are fantastic. They have provided some of the best support of any equipment I have purchased.I would be happy to discuss this further if you would like. Hope this helps C. Lampron
