Sorry I have been working on Dynapace conveyors all week. Mike

| Dynapace now has many styles of PCB conveyors in stock for quick delivery. Also available for quick delivery are bare board loaders along with other modules for automating your process. Sorry Vendor Person, You should have gotten on the capital equipment forum with this. The propellor-heads that usually jump on this site, including myself, typically are looking to give or receive technical info regarding process issues. Now, if you got on here and said you sold Dynapace conveyors and they reduce solder balls by 60% because.... I'm sure people would take an interest. Unfortunately, the negative publicity may have just cost you a sale as I am in the market for an offload buffer / workstation and I happen to be staring at a Dynapace quote right now. I'm not sure I want to invest in something that people are having problems with. Sorry. I'll speak to my sales rep. Regards, Justin Medernach

Acceptable ways of disseminating product information | 15 September, 1998

Dear Dynapace and those who responded: Sorry we were not quick enough to delete this ad. However, this gives us a chance to discuss with both users and vendors on ways to facilatate the desemination of product informtion other than via the Forum listings. Very often the vendor worked so hard to make a product that actually can solve a lot of problems for the users. However, it typically takes 1-2 years, if not more, for a product to reach the right users. We strongly feel this time should be as short as possible, for example, within days. The mission of SMTnet is to achieve this. What are the exact ways to do so? We've offered the Directory Database, the PCBCE Mart, the News Release, all of these for free, plus the paid banner ads. Are these helping you as either users or advertisers? Next we are hoping to have users register and decide what product/service information you choose to receive through your personalized SMTnet page. The registration will also help maintain the professional quality of postings. What is your comment or addtional suggestions in this regard? Thank you. Cunli

I am assuming that dynapace will not do it again, nor will other vendors that read the responses. It is the forum taking care of itself with your wise guidence. As for the important issues I for one think it would be good for all to register and select what type of information we would enjoy receiving in our emails, etc. Although just reading all of the postings seem to be very effective. Posting the proper email addresses provides all of us to respond directly to the person posting to the forum. I do believe that if each person would indicate emails please or no emails, then most would respect the request. Just my thoughts.

What's Best: D Pace, Simplimatic, or Lynx? | 16 September, 1998

We're getting new SMT equipment! A flex machine and conveyors to boot. We have Simplimatic equipment now but I'm wondering about Lynx (I have the strong impression that Philips wants to deal) or this D-pace company? What's the 411 on these guys? Equipment under consideration: board loader, conveyor to run from DEK printer (and will have the ability to do a 90* turn), conveyor to run between two flex machines (would two be better--to allow us to run machines independently?) Also, conveyorized workstation. Process: We are low vol/high mix. All input is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance. BTW: Which D-pace model reduces solder balls? Can it do flip chips? Maybe we can just buy the conveyors and forget about flex machines.

Thanks for the overwhelming response on the conveyors, guys. Some extremely weird (but very good) things just happened. SMTnetting just made things easier.

I am the Director of Sales for Dynapace. I apologize for an error that took place in the posting of Dynapace sales material in the forum section. The intention was not to misuse this resource, but an effort by one of our employees to help promote Dynapace to perspective customers. However, the wrong venue was chosen. I realize this was not the appropriate use of this location and it will not be done again. I would, however, invite anyone with comments, questions, or issues to contact me directly at psmith@dynapace.com and I will be happy to address anything you require. In addition, if someone from SMTNET would contact me and let me know how to remove our advertisement from this forum, I would be pleased to do so. Once again, I apologize for this error and will make sure it doesn't happen again. Best regards, Paul R. Smith, Dynapace.
