We will soon be taking our first steps to place 0402's using a Europlacer Progress 6 pick & place machine.Even though the machine is rated at placing these chips, I was wondering if anyone has any practical experience and are prepared to share their experiences.

Just make sure that you have it set up for 2mm advances (unless your parts are on 4mm pitch) also under your machine parameters, you may have to change the offset (Y only) for your trolley to be able to get to the proper pickup position. I used UFP6000s for a good while and worked for Multitroniks for a good while as well. You should be ok as long as your nozzles don't get clogged.
