Feeder/Machine Maintenance Tracking | 11 August, 2003

Hi,

Does anybody know of a company that sells a feeder/machine maint. tracking system.I would like to barcode all of our machines/feeders to track maint. We already have a barcode scanner and printer to do all of our SMT parts. Maybe there is some way I could utilize that for maint. purposes ??

Se�or Tech: Consider searching the fine SMTnet Archives, while you await other responses. There was an idential thread in what seems the past six months. Time passes as blur. So, it could have longer than that.

As I recall, you should be considering vehicle fleet maintenance software. There's a lot of freeware / shareware in that area.

Hi:

How simple or complex do you want? We run PFS software, but for our Feeder Maint we used access and just wrote a simple pgm and tied it into our PFS. What PFS gives us is how often the feeder is change out and this is used to base a feeder PM schedule on. After 20 reel changes the software tell the operator that the feeder is due a pm and is then turned in to feeder amint for a PM. THe operator also has feeder error code like: sticky, missing, mis advance ect.
