Field Service Engineer Job Description

The basic function of this position: Installation, training, repair, and implementation of retrofits on the complete line of Heller reflow ovens. Candidate must be a US citizen.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Heller Product lines at domestic US customers. Work directly with customers to understand and rapidly diagnose equipment problems. Produce concise, comprehensive, and accurate documentation of test reports and work instructions Provide diagnostic information, repair procedures and specific technical assistance to distributors and/or customers. Perform root cause failure analysis on sub-systems, circuits, and components in a timely manner. Create and assist in the release of Engineering documentation including bill or materials, engineering change orders, corrective action reports, and operational method sheets.  Applications support
QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years’ experience in trouble-shooting electrical, electronic, mechanical systems. Semiconductor equipment experience preferred. This includes root cause identification and problem solving. Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Windows Applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to travel to customer facilities (up to 50%-70% of time) and work weekends as critical needs arise. Ability to travel internationally on occasion to support global customers.
