Viscom's S3088 SPI inspection system is an extremely fast and highly precise inline system for 3-D solder paste inspection. The 3-D technology, which uses the fringe projection process without the need for moving parts, does not require calibration. Even the most demanding assemblies with CSPs or micro BGAs and pad sizes of 01005 can be reliably inspected. 2-D inspection features, such as: misalignment, coverage, smearing and solder paste height are now enhanced with the 3-D capabilities of surface area and volume measurement.

The speed can be selected in two stages; up to 50 cm²/s in high resolution mode and up to 80 cm²/s in high speed mode.The S3088 SPI's unique process uplink now offers the ability to use SPI results to tighten post-reflow AOI thresholds and SPI image data to classify marginal solder defects at the AOI review station.

The S3088 SPI is fully compatible with Viscom's AOI and AXI inspection systems. EasyPro user interface software ensures simple and quick programming. Real-time process optimization, both upstream and downstream, can now be accomplished utilizing Viscom's powerful software tools.
