Transition Automation Introduces Updated Holder Design for Better Blade Support
Feb 25, 2022 | Transition Automation today releases an updated holder design to improve blade support and simplify maintenance and blade changes for SMT printer operators. This new revision increases the holder width supporting the blade, which eliminates the support shim normally included with the holder assembly. This change also allows for faster printing speeds and better blade wiping as well as eliminating the problem of solder paste becoming lodged between the shim and blade after long use. An additional upgrade is the change to alloy steel flat head screws (vs. stainless steel). Alloy steel screws are less prone to stripping and deformation, making it easier to replace blades.

Permalex Squeegees Selected by Henkel/Aqua Membranes for Advanced RO Filter Technology
Jan 23, 2022 | Transition Automation's Advanced Permalex squeegees have passed initial trials in a new technology development between Henkel's Advanced Resins Division and Aqua Membranes. The technology under development is a new innovation that creates 3D printed membranes for improved Reverse Osmosis Filtration. Transition Automation supplied several versions of Permalex squeegee to enable this project to reach its goals. Hand Squeegee Stand Provides Better Hand Printing Process Control
May 18, 2020 | Transition Automation, Inc. today introduces a revised hand squeegee stand that improves the handling of solder paste for mission-critical R&D and Hand Solder Paste Printing environments. The stand serves to nest the squeegee at a specific angle to keep the solder paste bead stable on the blade during idle time between printing.The open regions around the stand provide easy access for operators to insert the squeegee into the holder. The holder also features scratch-proof nesting to keep the squeegee snug and in place if it is bumped or jostled.
Enhanced Squeegee QC with ID and Date Coding
May 12, 2020 | Transition Automation has introduced new product IDs that afford better quality control for squeegee end users. The company now applies indelible marking, which includes Date of Manufacture and Dimensional Part Numbers. The Date of Manufacture gives end users a better idea of product replacement cycles – which tend to be beyond one-year intervals. So date coding is deemed more important due to the long lifespan of the product.
