ProDEK Closed Loop Description:

ProDEK is an innovative and high performance closed loop system tool designed to ensure optimisation of the printing performance. Communicating between the DEK screen printer and solder paste inspection machine to identify any potential problems, ProDEK effectively maintains consistent and repeatable high quality output levels to the most demanding of tolerance parameters.

At every stage of assembly, closed loop systems help to control the variable factors that can have an adverse effect on the process. However, the most significant impact to the entire assembly process is at the print stage. ProDEK’s proactive defect prevention capability offers assemblers significant optimised performances, higher yields and increased throughput.

The ProDEK dynamic process control corrects the print offsets by using barcode readers to synchronise the printed and inspected board. This real time automatic correction eliminates the possibility of human intervention error, maintaining the optimum process even when different stencils or batches of boards are used. In addition, it is able to deliver repeatable model factory print stage settings and support replication at multiple manufacturing facilities.

Specifications:

• On the fly failsafe way of correcting print offsets by matching the printed board with the inspected board using barcode readers.
• Includes single 2d barcode reader and integration software with an option to provide your own bar code hardware.
• Current interfaces to Koh Young, Parmi and Cyber Optics (more partners scheduled to be added in the future)
• Can be retrofitted to all DEK printers powered by the standard Instinctiv™ V9 user interface
