IPC Designers Council Sponsors Designer Learning Symposium

Feb 05, 2001

The IPC Designers Council has announced it will sponsor a Designer Learning Symposium on July 16-21, 2001 at the Hilton Hotel in Northbrook, IL.

This first time-event will concentrate primarily on practical, hands-on training for designers. Topics will include:

  • Design capture
  • Documentation
  • Library development
  • Simulation
  • HDI
  • Routing
  • Prototyping
  • Signal analysis

"The Designer Learning Symposium is a first-class technical conference for designers," said Gary Ferrari, executive director, IPC Designers Council. "Attendees will be informed on some of the hottest design topics, as well as participate in hands-on workshops. The information and education gained from this symposium can be put to practical use in the designer's workplace."

A Call for Papers has been issued for the Designers Learning Symposium.

Abstracts of unpublished work detailing case histories, field data, new technologies or innovations or research and findings are due to IPC Designers Council Program/Marketing Manager Stephannie Caliendo by April 1, 2001.

For more information on submitting an abstract or the Designers Learning Symposium, contact Caliendo, at 847-790-5302, or e-mail calist@ipc.org.
