"The flexibility of the KE-2020 allows fast changing production environments, like those seen in our contract manufacturing customers, to continually produce a wide variety of jobs in less time," said Juki's Director of Technical Services Chris Lawing. He added, "There isnt another machine on the market in this price range that offers this kind of flexibility in this size.
The KE-2020's multi-nozzle laser head places 11,000 CPH including 0201s. Also equipped with the Super H-Drive gantry system with dual motors for the X and Y axes. Both placement heads have individual motors to control the Z and theta axes, which simultaneously centers parts for faster cycle time.
The fine-pitch head utilizes Juki's unique vision centering system, featuring FlexLighting, which illuminates all sides of a component for precision identification and placement of odd shaped components. The KE-2020 is also equipped with All-Ball Recognition, which detects faulty or defective balls and rejects any flawed components before entering production.
When configured with Juki's KE-2010 high-speed flexible chip shooters, the KE-2020 allows for a high-volume, high-mix and highly flexible automated assembly line.
