ZESTRON, the global leading provider of high precision cleaning products, services and training solutions in the electronics manufacturing and semiconductor industries, is pleased to announce that Umut Tosun, M.S.Ch.E., Application Technology Manager, ZESTRON Americas, will present “PCB Manufacturing – Cleaning to Assure Long Term Reliability” during the WS6 workshop at SMTA International 2016.
When designing electronic assemblies, cleaning may or may not be considered. However, depending upon the level of product reliability required, this becomes a critical consideration when designing the manufacturing process. If the reliability of electronic assemblies is critical, removing impurities from the printed circuit board surface as well as underneath the components is necessary. This is truer today than ever for a variety of reasons including the change from eutectic to lead-free soldering, climatic influence on PCB reliability and cleanliness requirements for bonding and conformal coating processes. This course provides attendees with an understanding of the risks associated with field failures attributable to the lack of cleaning and offers an analytical approach to designing and implementing an efficient cleaning process.
Mr. Tosun’s presentation will be on Sunday, September 25th, during the new WS6 session. To register for this event, please visit SMTA.org.
