Sep 20, 2006 Lean Stream, a manufacturer's representative and distributor of electronics manufacturing systems in Silicon Valley, has announced Alex Malek as Vice President of Business Development. In his new role, Mr. Malek will be responsible for implementing customer programs for greater asset velocity; management of strategic and global accounts; and development of business partnerships for Lean Stream.

Mr. Malek previously was Sr. Global Commodity Manager for Sanmina-SCI Corp. responsible for Capital Equipment and Assets for EMS, PCB, and Enclosure Plants, globally. He was also responsible for introducing best in class high performance equipment to achieve top quality and increased process capabilities. Mr. Malek brings over 20 years of supply chain management, quality management, and manufacturing engineering roles with such companies as Asyst Technologies, Lucent Technologies, SanDisk, Silicon Graphics, and Sun Microsystems.
