Dec 11, 2001 Plexus Corp. (Neenah, WI), a provider of design, manufacturing and testing services to the electronics industry, today announced that it has completed the expansion of its 25,000-sq. ft. New Product Introduction (NPI) Plus facility in Fremont, CA. NPI Plus services include prototype assembly, ramp-to-volume assembly, turnkey material procurement, project management, process development, test support, tooling support and repair. Manufacturing and test equipment used at the facility is consistent with equipment used at Plexus' volume manufacturing sites, but is dedicated to the lower volumes typical of new product programs.
NPI Plus teams deliver service to customers in the networking, data communications, medical, industrial, computer and transportation electronics industries. NPI Plus teams leverage the services and experience of Plexus' design engineering, test engineering and volume manufacturing resources to assist customers in successfully ramping up new programs.
In addition to Fremont, Plexus NPI Plus sites are located in Appleton, WI; Boston, MA; Minneapolis, MN; Seattle, WA; and Kelso, Scotland.
