The company will co-locate the Assembly, Quality, and National Manufacturing Week shows in late September 2007 in Chicago. The combined exposition will occupy all 800,000 square feet in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, creating the nations largest design and manufacturing tradeshow. The co-located events are expected to include 1,800 exhibiting companies and attract nearly 50,000 attendees.
We have been exhibitors at the Quality Expo show for years and have always been pretty happy with the results. Now that Canon is adding two more major showswith the ideal audience for usplus medical OEM features, we couldnt be more pleased, said Michael W. Metzger, general manager of Nikon Instruments. Whats not to like? Three times the audience for the same expense!
Bosch Rexroth has been the largest exhibitor at the Assembly Technology Expo for over a decade. The show has always been important to us for generating new business and for meeting existing customers. When we heard about Canons plans for a major co-located event at Rosemont, we were very excited about the new opportunities that Canons strength in medical and automation-related trade events would bring, said the companys director of marketing services Kevin Gingerich. Like most exhibitors, we know the value of every dime we spend on marketing and expect that the new combined event will triple the attendee audience for Bosch and ensure that our experience at Assembly 2007 will be the best ever!
Cox Automation has been a leading exhibitor at the Assembly show for the past 10 years, said the companys president Richard M. Andraki. The Canon co-location plan for 2007 is really exciting news. A strong reliable event is about to become a real powerhouse for us in terms of lead generation and new business development. We're looking forward to it!
Canon Communications really knows how to make tradeshows work for their exhibitors, said Chris Round, marketing manager for QC Industries. This new co-location strategy in Chicago is going to be a home runjust like their other major co-located shows in Anaheim, New York, and Atlanta. When asked what I thought about the concept, my simple answer was- I absolutely love it!
Canon also said that it will co-locate Powder & Bulk Solids Southeast and Advanced Manufacturing Exposition (AM Expo) with its SouthPack, Automation Technology Expo (ATX), and Design & Manufacturing South shows April 24-26, 2007 to create a 300,000 square foot, 800-exhibitor show in Atlantas Georgia World Congress Center. The combined event is the Souths largest manufacturing tradeshow. Lastly, the company disclosed that it will co-locate NEPCON/Assembly East with its OEM New England show in the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, featuring 500 exhibitors in an 80,000 square foot event.
These moves are a continuation of Canons decade long strategy of co-locating allied events located in the center of their served markets. Now with this acquisition, Canon has in place the largest tradeshows serving the nations $1 trillion advanced manufacturing market in every key region of the countryWest, Midwest, East and South.
Our co-location strategy was implemented to offer decision-makers the widest range of solutions for their manufacturing enterprise, said Kevin OKeefe, vice president of Canons events division. This one event, all solutions approach has resulted in double digit attendance gains every year at our major events. Show growth continues to pace with attendance increases as exhibitors experience an excellent and ever improving return on investment
