National Electronics Week First Choice for Production Industry - Among Others!

Jun 10, 2009

Now only days away, National Electronics Week continues to attract widespread support industry-wide. Being held at London’s Earls Court 2 from June 16th - 18th, the show is renowned for its unprecedented scope of coverage. However, as show organiser Claire Jeffreys points out, it is committed to serving the UK’s production industries comprehensively.

As the UK’s number one electronics exhibition run for the industry, by people committed to its long-term success, it is of course important that we deliver relevant support for all the sectors it encompasses,” she explains. “That’s why this year, we’ve added even more sectors to the floorplan, extending our reach to Solar/PV, Wireless and Embedded Systems for example. However, we’ll always stay faithful to our core markets, which is why I think so many production companies are on board for NEW 2009. I also think another important driver for production companies is the quality of visitors on offer, since visitor pre-registration has substantially exceeded all expectations.”

Production specialists at the show include Accelonix, Blundell (including Dage, Ersa, TWS and X-Treme), Detech (including Mirae and Reprint), Juki, PM Tech (including Essemtec, Ambersil and Sono-Tek) Seho, Wilson Process Systems and Zen Production (including Heller Industries, Sun East and Parmi). Also recently confirmed is ETek Europe, representing the likes of Aqueous, Kic, Speedline, Novatec and Mekko Technologies. Adaptsys, TRI, TSL and Testworks will also be at the show, highlighting technologies from companies including Mirtec, Seica, National Instruments and BP Microsystems.

Commenting on NEW’s appeal to production specialists, Juki Automation Systems Limited Sales Manager Philip Stokes explains: “Following the inaugural 2008 NEW show, Juki Automation went on to win many new customers; that success was down to a combination of our renowned ‘Lowest Cost of Ownership’, high quality equipment and, in no small part, the enthusiasm and drive of the NEW team. 2009 is going to be a very tough year for us all, with the economic and global slowdown affecting every aspect of our business. However, Juki believes that with hard work and the support of us all, NEW 2009 will help us build on last year’s success for this, OUR business.”

Accelonix’s Graham Biddulph adds: “We’re looking forward to this year’s National Electronics Week as we introduce visitors to an exciting change in what they can expect from Accelonix…we’re now offering a wide range of PCB assembly solutions - meaning that we can supply complete production lines to customers in the UK and beyond. We’ll be showcasing a wide range of equipment on our stand, including a Sony pick and place machine ideal for smaller companies working in high volume, high mix surface mount environments. Today, the UK market has limited opportunities to exhibit its potential; NEW is one of the few vehicles that enable us to do this. I hope that the UK market supports the show this year despite the economic climate - it’s an ideal opportunity to see new and innovative technologies in action.”
