Computrol, Inc., a world-class provider of mid- to low-volume, high-mix electronic manufacturing services to OEMs, announces that it has purchased another KISS-103 Selective Soldering System from ACE Production Technologies. The system will be installed at Computrol’s manufacturing facility in Orem, Utah. Additionally, the company has upgraded its existing KISS-103 system.
The KISS-103 comes standard with universal PCB location rails with motor driven adjustment, a heated Nitrogen inerting system, manual fiducial alignment, and the KFS-DJ Automated DROP JET Fluxing System. The fully configured automated selective soldering machine features the new high-speed Z-axis, which translates into an addirional 20 percent increase in production speed for Computrol.
“ACE has done a great job with the new version of software for the KISS machines,” said James Spencer, Computrol’s Engineering Manager. “It is easier to use and programming is much quicker. You can make changes on-the-fly and see the results right away."We get the same great results as we have been getting with our existing machines with speed and repeatability upgrades.
