Valtronic is excited to announce Ed Bartos has joined Valtronic as our new Operations Director and Shelly Best is the new Areas Sales Manager for the Western Region.
Ed’s responsibilities are to plan, direct, and coordinate the order fulfillment operations of the Company. He will oversee manufacturing operations, production planning and scheduling, manufacturing engineering, rapid prototyping, shipping, receiving and the stockroom. His focus will be on ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of projects using effective methods and strategies to include Lean (TPS) and Six Sigma methodologies.
Previously, Ed was employed with Georgia-Pacific in Akron, Ohio as a Director of Operations to across the facility. He was also VP of Operations at Cage Gear & Machinery LLC in Canton, OH. Additionally, Ed worked at Bird Technologies as Director of Operations and VP of Operations where he created and deployed global manufacturing business objectives, policies and programs. Ed provided leadership to new product development project teams and developed integrated supply chain strategies and programs.
His experience also includes VP of Operations at Solvera Particulate Controls, Director of ATS Operations at Allen Telecom, Director of Manufacturing Services and Manufacturing Engineering Manager at AMP Inc and an Industrial Engineer at Loral Systems Group.
Ed graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering Degree.
Shelly is responsible for building strategic customer relationships in the Pacific Region and Western Canada. Shelly has vast experience in contract manufacturing for the medical, industrial, aerospace, energy, semiconductor, and telecom markets.
Previously, Shelly was employed with Jabil, as a Business Development Manager; SMTC Corporation as a Senior Account Manager; Oncore Manufacturing Services, LLC as Regional Sales Manager. Shelly will be based in San Jose, CA.
