OK International acquires Impell Purification Technologies LP

OK International, Menlo Park, CA, a Dover Company, has acquired Impell Purification Technologies LP, a leading manufacturer of air purification equipment and systems for the electronics assembly industry, located in Suwanee, Georgia. OK International is merging its own fume extraction division under the Metcal name, into the IMPELL operation. The new organisation will be named IMPELL, Inc.

Presently, OK International is marketing, through Metcal, a line of bench top fume filtration products, while IMPELL has developed a strong leadership in fume filtration for production line applications, such as reflow ovens and wave solder machines. This merger provides for a complete line of fume filtration products and gives IMPELL, Inc., access to OK International�s worldwide sales and distribution channel.

With the combined organisations, the new company is poised to be the market leader in fume filtration for virtually every application in the electronics industry.
