KIC and Valor Announce Partnership for Integration into the DynamiX MES Platform

San Diego — November 2009 — KIC, the leader of thermal process development and control products, and winner of multiple industry awards, announces that it has teamed with Valor, the global provider of productivity improvement software across the printed circuit board manufacturing supply chain. The partnership will integrate KIC’s continuous monitoring systems directly to Valor's newly released end-to-end software suite, DynamiX.

Previously, only machine data from the reflow process was available from Valor’s software. Soon the important process data from the reflow ovens will be fed to Valor from KIC's RPI systems (Reflow Process Inspection). KIC’s RPI will be incorporated into Valor's DynamiX complete assembly production software suite designed to integrate solutions that will assist manufacturers in the design, planning, monitoring, control, scheduling, box build, traceability, test and rework processes. This capability complements the intelligent MES environment provided by Valor that previously included printing, pick-and-place and AOI but not the reflow process data. Customers will experience the benefits of both complete process control and traceability systems throughout the SMT production line.
