Nordson YESTECH, a subsidiary of Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ: NDSN) and a leading supplier of automated optical and conformal coat inspection systems for the electronics industry, was awarded a 2016 SMT China Vision Award in the category of Inspection & Testing – AOI for the FX-940UV Automated Conformal Coat Inspection system. The award was presented to the company on April 26, 2016 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center during NEPCON China.
Nordson YESTECH’s FX-940UV makes inspection of conformal coatings simple and convenient by automating the inspection process. The system inspects for quality and consistency of coating coverage under proprietary ultra violet lighting with the use of proprietary inspection algorithms. An optional coating thickness measurement package is also available
With minimal programming, the inspection setup is fast and intuitive typically requiring less than 30 minutes. A known good board is used to learn the coverage and non-coverage areas. The automated inspection typically takes only a few seconds with inspection results immediately displayed. These results can be stored and reviewed off-line at any time. The FX-940UV also reads all common barcodes and stores the inspection results for product traceability.
